The Art of Facilitating Positive Discipline (developed by Jane Nelsen and Nadine Gaudin) is an experiential workshop. You will go deeper into facilitation skills, grow as a person, and have fun! This workshop (with many new activities) is meant for you to see where and how you can model Positive Discipline even more and raise your awareness on your facilitation skills.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to attend the Art of Facilitating a Workshop, you must have completed one of the Positive Discipline Association workshops: Teaching Parent the Positive Discipline Way (TP), Positive Discipline in the Classroom (PDC) or Positive Discipline for Early Childhood Educators (ECE).
Participants in this workshop will:
- Modeling through leadership, facilitation skills to support total group participation and engagement, encouraging group cohesiveness.
- Understand how to use PD with your colleagues (for co-facilitation and cooperation as a group).
- Grow your self-encouragement and deepen your Adlerian understanding.

Kelly Pfeiffer has been teaching the Positive Discipline parenting curriculum for twenty-one years. As a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, she has trained educators and trainers in Asia, Europe and North America. Through her business, Go Interactive Training Kelly also offers professional development to trainers, instructors and facilitators on the topics of active learning and high engagement teaching strategies. She has two adult children, whom she parented using Positive Discipline tools and she lives in Greenville, South Carolina.
Casey O’Roarty, Med, is a facilitator of personal growth and development. Her work encourages parents to discover the purpose of their journey, while also providing them with tools and a shift of mindset that allows them to deepen their relationships with themselves and their families. As a Positive Discipline Trainer since 2007 and certified coach, Casey has led countless groups through workshops and classes that have left them feeling empowered and excited about parenting. She also offers an engaging podcast, Joyful Courage – which has been downloaded over a million times – live and online classes, and individual coaching at www.besproutable.com/teens. Her first book, Joyful Courage: Calming the Drama and Taking Control of YOUR Parenting Journey launched May 20th, 2019. Casey lives in the Pacific Northwest with greatest teachers – her husband, and two teenage kids.
