Casey with her two young adult children โ€” proof that you can make it through the teen years and come out closer on the other side.

The heart of this work

Both of you are in transition.

Your teen is becoming someone new โ€” moving out of one school year and into the next, growing into a more complex version of themselves. Their brain is literally rewiring. Their need for autonomy is rising. The old dynamic doesn’t fit anymore.

And here’s what nobody tells you: so are you. You’re being asked to become a different kind of parent than you’ve ever been. More witness than manager. More guide than enforcer. Someone building a lifelong relationship, not just surviving the next four years.

Immersion Week is for your becoming โ€” as much as theirs.

Their transition

A developing brain that prioritizes peers, seeks independence, and processes emotion differently than a child. Behavior that looks like defiance but is often just development. A kid who needs you โ€” even when every signal says they don’t.

Your transition

From the parent who fixes things to the parent who holds space. From needing to know the right answer to trusting the relationship. From managing behavior to understanding what’s underneath it. This is the work of this season.

“The most powerful tool you have for influencing the behavior of your teen is the relationship you nurture with them… and yourself.”

โ€” Casey O’Roarty

You might be feeling

Something has shifted โ€” and you can’t quite name it.

You’re not in crisis. You’re not a bad parent. You’re in a transition you weren’t prepared for โ€” and the tools that worked when they were younger just don’t fit this season anymore.

Lost

The parenting instincts that guided you for years feel unreliable. You’re not sure who you’re supposed to be to this person anymore.

Reactive

You keep getting pulled into cycles you don’t want. You know there’s more going on under the surface โ€” but you don’t know how to get there.

Unclear on your role

You’re not just their parent anymore. You’re also becoming their witness, their safe landing place, maybe eventually something close to a peer. Nobody mapped this out for you.

Always catching up

Putting out fires. Reacting instead of responding. Feeling like you’re always one step behind what this season actually needs from you.

Confused about limits

Where do you hold firm? Where do you let go? The line between connection and consequence feels impossible to find in the moment.

Quietly hopeful

Something in you knows this can be different. You haven’t given up. You’re here โ€” still looking, still trying, still caring deeply. That matters.

What you’ll experience

Three things that actually move the needle

Immersion Week isn’t a course. It’s a held, supported, community experience โ€” built around the three things that create real and lasting change for parents of teens.

Community

You weren’t meant to do this alone. When you’re surrounded by parents who are honest, vulnerable, and growth-minded โ€” shame dissolves. Courage grows. Things shift in community that can’t shift anywhere else.

Our private Mighty Network space is active every single day โ€” morning video prompts, daily reflection threads, and a place to be seen between every live call.

Content

Not scripts and strategies โ€” but the frameworks and mindset shifts that address the root of what makes parenting teens so hard. Adolescent brain development, the iceberg metaphor, nervous system regulation, kind AND firm, and the tools that actually work during the long unstructured days of summer.

Practical, grounded in research, and always connected to your inner work.

Coaching

This is where transformation gets personal. Hot seat group coaching brings your real situation into the room โ€” your specific teen, your specific patterns. You’ll receive direct support AND grow from every other parent’s breakthrough.

Plus two live Office Hours sessions โ€” and if you can’t make it, post your question in the community and I’ll respond. No one gets left behind.

Experiencing all the elements โ€” skills, coaching, soul care โ€” in a short time was a great feeling of what the membership could be. I felt a renewed sense of inspiration for parenting and my own growth.

What changes

By the end of this week, something real will have shifted.

01

You trust the process โ€” even without knowing the outcome

You stop white-knuckling and start holding space. You understand there’s more happening under the surface โ€” and that’s where the real work is. You can be with the messiness of this season instead of fighting it.

02

You stop feeling alone in the hardest season of parenting

Seven days inside a community of honest, growth-minded parents changes something. You’ll be seen. You’ll see others. And you’ll discover that your struggle isn’t a sign you’re failing โ€” it’s a sign you care deeply.

03

You walk into summer with a clearer sense of your role

Not just “the parent.” A witness. A guide. Someone building a lifelong relationship with a person who is becoming. You’ll have tools for connection, hard conversations, and your own nervous system โ€” all summer long.

Your week

One week. Real change.

A full seven-day immersion โ€” live calls, daily community connection, office hours, and soul care. You’ll be held, challenged, and celebrated every single day.

Before you decide

Now that you’ve seen the week โ€” is it for you?

The most respectful thing I can do is be honest about who this week is designed for โ€” and who it isn’t.

This isn’t the right fit if…

โœ•

You’re looking for a step-by-step formula or a script for getting your teen to listen

โœ•

You believe the problem is entirely your teen’s to fix โ€” and you’re not part of the dynamic

โœ•

You’re in active crisis and need clinical or therapeutic intervention right now

โœ•

Your children are not yet in adolescence

โœ•

Personal growth doesn’t feel relevant or interesting to you

This is exactly for you if…

โœ“

You have a tween or teen and feel the ground shifting under your feet

โœ“

You have a hunch that you’re part of the dynamic โ€” even if you’re not sure how

โœ“

You’re tired of white-knuckling through this season and suspect there’s another way

โœ“

You value growing as a person, not just improving as a parent

โœ“

You don’t need a formula โ€” you need to feel less alone and more grounded

What past parents took away

No two weeks look the same โ€” but everyone leaves with something.

Ways to better communicate with my daughter and my husband through this time of her life, and our season of parenting. Your calm and concise info was helpful.

โ€” Jody

I felt reinspired to try new ways of parenting again. I felt open to learning how to parent myself and focus on my mental health to be a better parent. I appreciated feeling in community with other parents that were also struggling and wanting to make positive changes.

Questions parents actually ask.

If your question isn’t here, email me and I’ll answer it personally.

What if I can’t make every call live?

You won’t miss a thing. Every session is recorded and delivered within 24 hours โ€” yours to keep. Show up live to what you can, catch the rest on replay. The community thread stays active all week, so even if you only attend two calls, you’ll still feel deeply connected to the experience.

Is this for parents of younger tweens, or older teens?

Both. The work covers ages roughly 10 through 18, and the principles scale up and down. Whether your kid is finishing 6th grade or about to leave for college, the inner work and relational tools apply.

What if my partner isn’t on board with this kind of work?

You don’t need their buy-in. You need yours. The shifts you make ripple through your house whether they participate or not โ€” that’s one of the most beautiful surprises parents report. You can do this work alone and still change the dynamic at home.

What if my teen and I are mostly okay โ€” just feeling the transition?

You’re a perfect fit. Most parents who join aren’t in crisis. They’re in transition. They want to do this season well, not just survive it. Immersion Week is built for exactly that moment.

I’ve done a lot of personal work already. Will this be too basic?

No โ€” and many of the parents who get the most from this week are exactly the ones who think they’ve already done the work. Adolescence asks something new of us. The frameworks, the community, and the coaching are all calibrated for parents who are ready to go deeper, not start from scratch.

Will I really get personal support, or is this more of a course?

This is not a course. It’s a live, held experience with real-time coaching. You’ll have two Office Hours, a hot-seat group coaching call where I work directly with parents in the room, and a community space where I show up daily. If you’re one of the first 20 to register, you also get a private 1:1 with me. You will be seen.

“I am now in her membership program.

Casey’s immersion week is really the best way to get a sense of what her coaching membership is like. I was excited to join her immersion week after years of listening to her podcasts and I got to meet the community of moms who are in her orbit. I saw instantly that the things I am going through as a parent and the things my kids are living through on their journeys are not unique to me or our family.

Having visibility into other people’s parenting paths is such a comfort and support. You can’t be in a group like this and not feel lifted up at the end of every session. Even if it’s not exactly what you are going through, you will always be able to relate and you will get something out of it that fits your unique experience.

I loved the different times during the week that we were able to connect โ€” a Group Coaching call, a 1:1 call with Casey, Thursday Soul Care with meditation and journaling. Though each of us is here to learn, everyone has a wisdom to impart and it’s really heartwarming to be a part of something like this.

And I am now in her membership program!

After the week

Many parents don’t want to stop.

The Living Joyful Courage Membership is where they land โ€” weekly soul care, biweekly office hours, monthly group coaching and workshops, and a community of parents doing this work alongside you. But that’s for after. Immersion Week first.

Casey O'Roarty

Hi, I’m Casey.

Positive Discipline Lead Trainer ยท Parent Coach ยท Author ยท Host of Joyful Courage Podcast

I’ve been doing this work for over 20 years โ€” supporting thousands of parents through the complicated, tender, hilarious, heartbreaking terrain of raising adolescents. I hold an M.Ed. from the University of Washington, and I’m a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, contributing author to the #1 international bestseller Raising Teens That Talk to You, and the author of Joyful Courage: Calming the Drama and Taking Control of YOUR Parenting Journey.

I also know this work from the inside. I have two young adult children. I have sat in the exact confusion you’re sitting in right now. I’ve done the inner work โ€” and I’ve seen what becomes possible when parents do it too.

Immersion Week is the most supported, held, community-rich way I know to start. I’d love to have you there.
