5 Ways to Stay Flexible & Present as a Facilitator

Even When the Room Gets Hard

When I first started facilitating workshops, I wanted everyone to just buy-in to what I had to say. You know what I mean — I thought if I just shared the tools clearly enough, passionately enough, everyone in the room would nod along and have their “aha” moment right on schedule.

But you know how it really goes…

Some people are eager and engaged.

Some are quiet, skeptical, or even resistant.

Sometimes the energy in the room is nothing like what you planned for.

And those moments — the hard, messy ones — are when your real work begins.

Over the years, I’ve learned how to stay grounded in those moments, how to embrace resistance as part of the process, and how to meet people exactly where they are while still gently guiding them toward growth.

I created this free resource to help you do the same.
